Kelvin Askew is a freelance visual artist based out of North Texas. He graduated from the University of North Texas in 2022, earning a BFA in Studio Art with an emphasis on Drawing and Painting. His inspirations include artists of the Bay Area Figurative Movement, editorial photography, and the work of filmmakers such as Wong Kar-wai and Michael Mann.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I like to think of my work as like a personal soundtrack. Mostly based on personal experiences and memories. An examination of normal situations with a surreal edge to them, through the use of color and composition.
